Cucumber is my family favorite vegetable. This is one such recipe which my whole family loves. It's a super easy and healthy recipe. I got this recipe from my MIL.
there is no need of stove apart from tempering for this recipe. It got to be bachelors favorite recipe.
Cucumber Curry
Simple No Cook dish
- 1 Big Cucumber
To Grind
- 1 tbsp roasted gram (hurigadale in kannada)
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 2 Green Chilies
- 1/4 tsp tumeric
- 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 lemon size tamarind
- Jaggery
- Salt
For Tempering
- 1 tsp Any vegetable Oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp channa dal
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
Chop the cucumber and keep it ready.
Grind all the items mentioned above to a fine paste
Mix with the chopped cucumber & add the tempering
Cucumber Curry/ Southekai Gojju ready to be served along with Rice/Chapathi/Akki rotti.
